TRACK OF THE WEEK: In which I pick a the best single piece of music for the week.
From their highly anticipared DFA new album; In The Grace Of Your Love, The Rapture released their first single entitled How Deep Is Your Love? a great tune with old school piano of 1970’s Chicago House scene with a hypnotizing beat and twisted base line that walks us through an amazing track that completely changes the essence of The Rapture, a band that was once so loud your neighbors had to call the cops every-time you played them and instead trades places with a brand new very “dancy” Rapture. This is without a doubt the song of the summer, enjoy it while it lasts.

Right off their debut album; The Vaccines deliver one hell of a song in the form of “A Lack Of Understanding”, a tune that steps away from the Interpol emulation and instead shows a truly original meoldy with engaging chorus among other great elements. Just listen to it.
TRACK OF THE WEEK: Black (feat. Norah Jones) - Danger Mouse & Daniele Luppi
This week as I promised before, the pick comes from the upcoming Danger Mouse & Daniele Luppi spaguetti western album: ROME. The project involves creating a score of sorts with help of Jack White and Norah Jones on vocals. Any project with the “Danger Mouse Presents” legend becomes a killer piece of music and this track is a perfect example, the haunting vocals of Norah Jones alongside the tune fit perfectly for the Spaguetti Western inside my head. Well done Danger Mouse.
TRACK OF THE WEEK
This week’s track is by The Vaccines, the lead single from this band of rookies has rocketed to several of the indie tops and features an old Interpol-ish sound. Fresh and dynamic, Post Break Up Sex is a great track.
